ME Clinic’s Ultherapy is an FDA-approved non-invasive treatment that may lift and tighten skin by stimulating collagen regeneration using micro-focused ultrasound energy. It works equally well on both men and women. Patients with mild skin laxity and showing early signs of “maturing” skin, such as losing firmness and sagging, are good candidates for treatment.
The Ultherapy system is designed by Merz Aesthetics. It has minimal downtime and it can be safely used in the face, neck, and décolleté.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our friendly staff and offered a warm cup of tea.
Using the Skin Analysis System, one of our consultants will examine your skin and mark areas that require intervention. A customized treatment plan is then devised to achieve your desired outcome. To be eligible for Ultherapy, the treatment area must be free from open wounds, lesions, or severe cystic acne. Inform your attending physician if you are wearing active implants such as pacemakers or defibrillators.
Prior to treatment, we perform double cleansing to get rid of all make-up, grease, and dirt from your skin. To minimize discomfort, a numbing cream may be applied or you may also take pain relievers such as paracetamol or ibuprofen.
Using a handheld device called a transducer, the doctor will deliver tiny amounts of ultrasound energy into your skin at precise depths intended to stimulate collagen production. While the procedure is painless, your face may feel sore or a bit swollen. This should resolve within a day or two.
You may observe some immediate lifting effects initially, but the eventual results will be more evident over a span of 2 to 3 months. This is because it takes time for your body to create new collagen to provide the full lifting effect.
You May Expect:
- Contouring effects at the jowl, double chin, neck and eyebrow areas
- Reduction of fine lines and wrinkles
- Improved texture and appearance of the face
